Information we process
We process your chosen email address, encrypted mailbox credentials, mailbox messages and contacts, verified recovery email, registration timestamps, short-lived hashed connection identifiers and server security logs. Your mailbox password is processed to create your mailbox and is not stored in plaintext by this registration application.
Why we use it
Account and mailbox data are used to provide the service you request. Recovery information is used to verify registration and support account recovery. Security and abuse logs are used to protect the service and investigate misuse. Registration requires an existing recovery email address.
Hosting and service providers
The service runs on a GoDaddy-hosted server using cPanel and Roundcube. Mail sent to other providers is processed by the recipient’s provider and relevant mail relays. The service does not provide end-to-end encryption and administrators may access mailbox data when necessary for support, security or legal obligations.
Public chat and support requests
Chat aliases and messages are public and are not verified identities. Chat messages are deleted every day at 04:00 Europe/Bratislava local time, including daylight-saving adjustments. A maximum of 500 messages is retained before that reset and the most recent 100 are displayed. An essential browser cookie keeps access to a chat alias for up to 30 days; the server stores a hash of that access token. Alias records expire after 30 days. Hashed connection identifiers and request times are kept for up to 24 hours to limit abuse. Messages may be removed for spam, impersonation or other misuse. Use the contact form to report a message. Support form details, the supplied reply email and message are emailed to support@bambooemail.com to respond to your request and may remain in the support mailbox until the request and necessary follow-up are resolved. Do not submit passwords or sensitive information in public chat or support messages. The locally generated image CAPTCHA uses session data, a short-lived answer hash and essential cookies; it does not send the image verification to an external provider.
Retention
Unverified registration requests expire after one hour and are removed during subsequent registration requests after 24 hours. Registration rate-limit records are kept for 24 hours. Account and recovery records are retained while your account remains active. Mailbox content is retained until you delete it or request account closure; hosting backups and security logs may retain data for a limited additional period.
Your choices and rights
Contact us from your verified recovery address to request account closure, access, correction, export or deletion of your personal data. You may also contact your local data protection authority. If SMS verification is enabled, your phone number is sent to Twilio to deliver and verify a registration code. The pending phone number is kept until registration is completed or the request expires; completed accounts retain a SHA-256 hash for the one-account-per-number restriction, rather than the raw number. SMS request limits use hashed phone and connection identifiers for up to 24 hours. Essential session cookies support secure registration. When enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile performs security checks against automated abuse and processes browser and device signals for that purpose. No advertising or analytics tracking is installed on this website.
