Privacy Policy
This policy supplements the registration privacy notice. Registered operator details appear at the end of this page.
What information is processed
When you register we process your chosen BambooEmail address, verified recovery address, registration timing, account identifiers, password verification information and technical security logs. The service stores and processes mailbox messages and contacts to deliver email. The registration application does not retain your raw mailbox password. Public chat stores chosen aliases, messages, anti-abuse identifiers and session information; support requests are sent to the support mailbox.
Purposes and legal bases
Account creation, mailbox delivery and support are required to perform the email service contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)); protection against abuse and system security rely on legitimate interests where applicable (Art. 6(1)(f)); legally required records on legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)). Optional advertising or analytics will require appropriate consent where applicable (Art. 6(1)(a) and ePrivacy rules).
Processors and recipients
The service uses a hosting environment administered through GoDaddy/cPanel and Roundcube. Email delivery involves sending and receiving mail providers. External email recipients and their providers process messages independently. If configured, Twilio may process SMS verification data and Cloudflare Turnstile may process anti-bot signals. Weather data, AI requests and browser-loaded script libraries are provided by third parties only when those features are used; do not enter confidential data into an AI tool without reviewing its disclosures.
Storage and retention
Unverified registration links expire after about one hour, and their cleanup may occur later. Registration and anti-abuse limits may be kept for about 24 hours. Public chat messages are deleted daily at 04:00 Europe/Bratislava time; chat alias access may persist up to 30 days in an essential browser cookie. Account content is retained until deletion or account closure, subject to backups, security incidents and applicable legal retention. The private PDF Studio processes document files in your browser and does not intentionally upload them to BambooEmail.
Cookies and marketing
Essential cookies support secure sessions, CAPTCHA, webmail, chat and private PDF login. No AdSense advertising or website analytics is configured by the privacy update itself. If Google ads are enabled, Google and approved partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads based on visits, subject to the consent choices offered by a Google-certified consent platform in applicable regions. Security and your rights
BambooEmail uses session protection, verification and abuse controls. Email is not end-to-end encrypted, and administrators may access mailbox information when required for support, security or legal obligations. You can ask for access, correction, export, deletion, restriction or objection when applicable and withdraw optional consent. Contact support@bambooemail.com or complain to the appropriate data protection supervisory authority. Never send passwords in support requests.
Updates
This notice may be updated when services, data processors or advertising integrations change. Last updated: 29 October 2026.
QR file sharing
Public server-hosted QR uploads are suspended pending a payment-provider compliance review. Existing text, website, email and Wi-Fi QR creation does not upload user files.
